The successful re-tendering for the provision of security services at Poplar HARCA has been announced by 1SC Guarding Limited, the SME, SIA-approved and ACS-accredited company based in London Docklands.

Poplar HARCA (Housing and Regeneration Community Association) is a registered social landlord responsible for the management of 8,500 homes in East London, which were transferred from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Association’s role is to help bring about the social, urban and economic regeneration of the area under its charge.

Only last year, Poplar HARCA won a prestigious Public Services Award from The Guardian newspaper.

The new contract sees 1SC Guarding provide bespoke security services to both Balfron and Carradale Towers.

“1SC Guarding has been operating since 1997 and, during this period of global recession, it’s absolutely paramount that we’re able to adapt to such hard economic times for the benefit of our numerous clients,” said David Jones, the company’s managing director and founder.

Jones added: “Our ability to offer competitive rates is due to the fact that we have much smaller managed overheads, but we never compromise on quality whatever the size of the contract.”

1SC Guarding will continue to provide Estate patrolling services for Poplar HARCA to ensure that its many residents emanating from all ethnic backgrounds are kept safe at all times. This will include – but is not limited to – checking the safety of buildings, approaching unauthorised persons and assisting when required with individual tenants.
